Getting To Know David & Sara Pensgard

You may have an interest in getting to know a little more about us. If so, this page contains a brief profile of who we are and what we do.

• We were married in 1998 in Winnetka, Illinois.
   
• We both attended Northwestern University, Chicago, IL.
  • David majored in Neurobiology and Art Theory and Practice (1995/6)
  • Sara majored in Economics and International Studies with a minor in Russian Language. (1998)
    • Later, Sara received an MLS degree for Library Science at the University of Missouri at Columbia (MU). (2003)
    • Later, David received an MA degree for philosophy of religion at Liberty University (2009).
       
• David works both as an adjunct professor of philosophy at Liberty University and also as a free-lance graphic designer for businesses all over the country. Both jobs are done out of my home office.
   
• Sara works as a librarian at Patrick Henry College, Purcellville, VA. She has a 10-minute commute!!
   
• David is also a student of philosophy. He is now attending CUA's PhD program in philosophy in Washington, DC. ... a very long commute :(
  • Areas of Interest: Metaphysics and Phenomenology of Time, Philosophy of Religion (God and Time)
  • My interest in time is why there is a clock in the background of the home page... in case you were wondering.
     
• Sara's hobbies and interests include history, religion/theology, knitting, and historical fiction. She enjoys learning about the Russian culture.
   
• David's hobbies and interests include the sciences, ancient history, and nutrition/exercise/health/medicine.

My wife and I get along well with most people. If you invite us, we'd love to bring over one of our "famous" Chicago-Style Pizzas!
